One of those days when I only stopped writing because I’ve been at it for nearly twelve – Yikes. Yes, 12 hours.
Who got up at 4.30 am?
Crazy author, that’s who – but when a book has to be written it has to be written

Was good, actually, as had both arms stuck like a porcupine yesterday by very nice nurse who helped me hold dh down when he had to have the same multitude of shots in preparation for our forthcoming trips to all places exciting and mysterious – so losing myself in the story today helped me to forget that both my arms hurt like hell.

Ah, well, health must bear a stab – or something. Tired now. No words left.

Waving feebly…

Oh, give over, Susan – you know you love it.

Okay, I do

Wishing you a jolly day doing whatever it might be that you love best

And the dog with the gentlest nature ever says woof woof too –

Don’t they say dogs take after their owners?
(Seriously, how did the Ninja Carrot end up with the gentlest dog in the world? Answers on a postcard, please…)

How long is a moment?

I don’t know, but that lost in the moment moment inevitably creeps into my thinking when I start dreaming about romance.

There was no tomorrow, no here, no yesterday – there was only now, with the ocean lapping rhythmically on a sugar sand shore, and a sickle moon and diamond stars to light their way. There was just one man, one woman…
There was only this…

Thoughts for the day:
Lesley Garrett is a national treasure – love that voice and that ballsy personality
Love curd tart – but didn’t have to eat all of it – though I did – and it was a big one.
Heard about puppy farms – such a tragedy – reminded me about Molly and how much we loved her and what joy she brought us in the short time we had her. Down with puppy farms they are wicked, wicked places
Christine Blakely is enormously brave planning to water ski across the English Channel for charity – a true heroine
Took delivery of a sample Flower Girl dress for The Wedding. Unbelievably gorgeous – loving this wedding planning

Have fun and spread the love

What is this great golden ball in the sky?

I came out of the writing cave to discover a miracle had happened – I believe it’s called sunshine, but it’s been so long I can hardly remember…

Okay, so take a look at my morning visitors – cute, huh?

DH thought they had escaped until I pointed out that it was actually the 1st March – the first official day of spring, and the farmer had obviously taken this at face value and allowed his animals out of the barn – let’s hope Mr Farmer’s right!

And not only was it sunny and fairly warm – the sky was so clear I could see right across the moors to Derbyshire

Must dash to post back my film – If you haven’t seen The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, or you haven’t read the book, do so…
Just be prepared to be dehydrated by the end of it – It’s at least a ten box of Kleenex watch, though it does prove that men come from Mars –
How moving, I sobbed.
Self-indulgent (rude word here) said DH.
This is a film about the triumph of the human spirit, I insisted.
Selfishness, he pronounced, And infidelity.

Yikes – how can we be so different and yet so in love –
Go figure, ladies.
Love to all
Suexx

Ra’id assumes that the heiress Antonia Ruggiero is used to being pampered and preened. But on his boat Ra’id is the master. He’ll put her to work scrubbing the decks – and after hours he’ll take her between the sheets!

Until they get to dry land, where the only mistress Ra’id obeys is duty. But an unexpected pregnancy could change all that!

No. I don’t write the back blurb or I might have mentioned Antonia gives as good as she gets!

I know I’ve said this before but when I meet up with friends, which can’t happen nearly as often as I would like, I am reminded of how precious friendship is and how lucky I am to have friends I value more than I can possibly express.

Here’s some writing insight requested by Carly from Barrow UK: How do I come up with my heroines?
Here’s a closer look at my latest heroine, Antonia in Master of the Desert.

When I created Antonia I didn’t want her to be downtrodden, or even plain. I wanted Antonia to enjoy all the advantages I can only dream of and to have been spoiled rotten by older brother who brought her up when their parents died.
Having equipped Antonia with a feisty temperament and some useful sporting skills, I sent this stubborn minx on a journey of self-discovery knowing Antonia’s victory would have nothing to do with landing a rich and powerful husband, but would be all about discovering herself and what Antonia was capable of when I pitted her against the hardest man I could conjur up – Sheikh Ra’id of Sinnerbar – the Sword of Vengeance himself.

I hope you enjoy reading about Antonia’s journey as much as I enjoyed writing her story.

And thank you again those of you who have written to me about Laying Down the Law - I really do appreciate your mails

Have a good one, ladies – tomorrow I’ll post an extract from Master of the Desert you won’t find on my site.

Sheikh Ra’id looks hot, and Antonia is pretty much as I imagined her. Not a bad result I think you’ll agree

Here’s what editorial has to say about this sheikh duet…

The Al Maktabi Brothers
Kings of the desert…
Masters of the bedroom!

Razi al Maktabi
This prince has two passions:business and women. His playboy days might be numbered when duty beckons, but there’s always time for one final fling! As he takes the Phoenix throne, Razi will work the same magic on the Isla de Sinnebar as he has on every woman of marriageable age – but what happens when he finds out he’s going to be a father?
Razi is my hero in Ruling Sheikh, Unruly Mistress for Modern Heat

Ra’id al Maktabi
Darker than night and twice as dangerous, Razi’s older brother sits on the Sapphire throne of Sinnebar. Scarred inside and out Ra’id is a powerhouse of strength and command. He rules his heart like his country – with an iron will. Now one woman is about to come between him and his throne!
Find Ra’id ruling in Mills & Boon Modern Romance now!

Enjoy!
