I can only imagine minimus’s first sight of her ocean home. Thrilled. Terrified. Excited beyond belief.

And the cosy shelf that will be her bed for almost a month when she sails the Atlantic?
Hmm, perhaps not quite so thrilled.

For now she will be sailing in heavy seas and freezing rain to Alderney in the Channel Islands just to get a taste of what lies ahead, so there will be no more news until Friday, and then – as she plans to leap straight into her car and drive back home- I suspect it will have to wait until the bathroom has been in use for at least a couple of hours!

I wanted to buy an Arctic quality sleeping bag for the transatlantic voyage next September until dh pointed out that she will actually be crossing the Equator on her way to Brazil.
