Laying Down The Law

This book was a complete ‘off-contract’ self-indulgence for me, based around my elder daughter’s experiences as a pupil barrister in the UK – minus Lorenzo for Wiggy, sadly (though she does have a fantastic boyfriend – waving madly, Rob) – but most of the scenes have their basis in the reports delivered home to me – as well as my own proud mum moment when we went as a family to see said daughter ‘Called to the bar’ at one of the ancient Inns of Court in London. To say that was a fabulous and memorable occasion would be a major understatement.

Anyway, it’s hard to keep secrets in this business – especially when you get on well with your editor – and ‘Can I have a little look?’ turned into an offer and Laying Down The Law was born.
Renamed in the US: Under the Italian’s Command
Okay, so I did have to add my spicy Italian American hero and a girl with a few self-esteem issues, but the end result was something I just adored writing.

Bet says, hi! And don’t forget when you’re doing your Christmas shopping that pets like presents too!

Have a good one, ladies!
