I am so pleased to be home – though have had the most wonderful back to back trips, first to Spain and then to France.

France – I could wax lyrical all day – bread – croissants – home-made jams – not to mention all the wine and champagne I thought it my duty to sample for you while I was in the champagne region -

And yes, I will be bringing you some photos – just as soon as I decant them from my camera -(can’t get that wine out of my head!)

One morning I ate 4 croissants for breakfast – beat that – On second thoughts, don’t – we’ve got Christmas coming up… talking of which the French side of our family is descending for the annual feast, so it will be, Look to your laurels ‘Ros Bif’!

Actually, I’ll be looking to Nigella Lawson for my hints and tips – this is no time for scrimping on the full-fat milk and double cream
