Some Day My Prince Will Come…

Who could ever forget that fabulous lyric from a Disney film?
Not me.
I blame Disney for making fantasy so addictive.
Actually, no, I don’t – I thank Disney from the bottom of my romantic heart!

It is both a thrill, and rather terrifying to introduce my Christmas book for 2008
Wah! Christmas already???
Didn’t we just stuff those stockings full of goodies and the turkey full of… something else?

The Prince’s Arranged Bride, edited by the unforgettably enthusiastic and incredible beautiful Lucy Mukerjee is my Christmas book in the US this year.

I absolutely adored the writing process for this book, because my heroine, Emily Weston enters the story in the guise of a cabaret singer- something I know a little bit about.

In her working life, Emily is a barrister, but she stands in last minute for her twin sister, who has been taken ill with flu’ just before an important charity dinner at which Prince Alessandro Bussoni Ferara is guest of honour.

I had some fun playing around with the way some people respond to a barrister as opposed to the way they behave towards a cabaret singer- Having seen the scenery on both sides of that particular fence, I had a wry expression on my face in some parts of the book while my fingers fairly flew over the keys ;-)

BTW – should I be thrilled, or alarmed at the fact that we’re talking Christmas already?

Did I miss something? Is summer over? Did it even start here in the UK?

Hope your week is going well, ladies,
All my very best to you from the rainy UK

Sxxx
