Prat Fall
The best of times and the worst of times with one of my very best author friends, Sharon Kendrick
My day in Sausalito- and why it helps to have a fully trained nurse along
Why?
Because I am the clumsiest creature on earth- and despite tripping over a pavement in Sausalito and landing with such a bang that people came running, I am also the luckiest person alive- coming out of it with nothing more than two bruised hands and a bruised knee.
What is it about conference, btw? Remember my fall in the shower in Daytona- when I spent the whole of conference with a black moustache?!
Anyhow, this time I had the redoubtable Sharon Kendrick with me, who being a fully trained nurse before she turned to writing romance, simply sat me down, took my pulse, checked for injuries, and we were on our way. Bravo, Sharon!
End result? I raided the most divine children’s shop, Cha Cha Cha for two twinny outfits- one in a divine corally pink with matching tights, and one with a teeny tiny cowgirl pattern on cobalt blue with the most gorgeous matching tights showing a sweet little pony staring over the stable door, and a set of tiny pull-on shoes with bows, that the girls absolutely insisted I should buy, while Sharon raided every other shop in sight, including the *holiday shop*, where she purchased a San Francisco cable car decoration for the Christmas tree. In August? I am in awe
How beautiful it is in Sausalito.
More pics from the Harlequin party soon- including the moment a tree fell on an author.
Don’t miss it!
